The Greystone Programs

for the craft of faithful Reformed life, theology, & ministry

Greystone is pleased to offer innovative programs in theological and ministerial formation which forge a new path in view of educational, institutional, economic, and cultural challenges. This new path is also very old, recovering and deploying commitments regarding wisdom and service that the Church has long held dear. Study with us, and do so where you are or where we are, joining with others in the joyful and honorable vocation of uttering Amen! to the Word and works of the triune God.

Westminster at Greystone

Theological Formation | Online and On Site | Guided Mentorship

Grow where you’re planted–and obtain your degree there too.

Greystone Theological Institute is pleased to collaborate with Westminster Theological Seminary for the Master of Arts in Religion (MAR) and Master of Divinity: General Ministries (MDiv). The fully accredited Westminster MAR and MDiv: General Ministry online degrees are offered to students on-site at Greystone Learning Communities across the world. Students at Greystone Learning Communities who pursue these Westminster degree opportunities with Greystone apply a portion of the curriculum with Greystone to their Westminster degree, study under the mentorship of trained Reformed ministers in an apprenticeship model, and complete their entire course of study in an embedded ministry context. Students in this collaboration do not study in an online-only format, but make use of online content delivery in an embedded church context and in an apprenticeship structure.

Greystone Anglican Program

Certificate, MAR, & MDiv | Online and On Site | Guided Mentorship

Greystone Theological Institute is committed to delivering what we earnestly pray will be—for many generations to come—an effective and theologically coherent North American option for the rigorous education and spiritual formation of godly, effective ministers and other servants of the Church in the lively tradition of Reformational Anglicanism. The Anglican Program (Certificate, MAR, or MDiv) is available across the world and primarily based in several Greystone Learning Community hub locations—Philadelphia, Coraopolis/Pittsburgh, and Boise—with more instructional sites forthcoming. In fact, your church can also become an instructional site for the Anglican Program.

The Greystone Certificate

Rigorous Study | Faithful Research | Guided Mentorship

The six-course and thesis Certificate (in Christian Dogmatics, Christian Tradition, or Holy Scripture) is Greystone’s main Certificate program, and is a rigorous program designed for ministers and theological students who desire to gain specialist knowledge of the Christian Scriptures, theology, and history from the perspective of confessional Reformed catholicity. Greystone also offers a Certificate in Gender, Family, & Ministry; a Certificate in Theological Anthropology & Craftmanship; and a Certificate in Anglican Studies.

The Certificate is complementary to traditional seminary training for ministry and scholarship, and well suited for a range of students seeking continuing education, training for further research, or refreshment in theological study. Particularly with its focus on training for further work in biblical, theological, and ethical studies, the Certificate functions in manner analogous to a Master of Theology (Th.M. or M.Th.) program in American and international institutions. The goal of the program is to foster and stimulate constructive theological thinking and multidisciplinary collaboration.

The Greystone ThM/PhD

The Greystone Way | Strategic Collaboration | Accredited Degree

Greystone’s three postgraduate program concentrations are Christian Dogmatics (including ethics and apologetics), Holy Scripture, and Christian Tradition. The ThM program consists of course modules plus either a research thesis project or two additional capstone modules.
